In the historic Noranda Mining Camp, Falco Pacific maintains the largest land holdings in the district with over 700 sq. km, including 90% of the central camp, the area that hosts the majority of former base metals producers. Some of the VMS deposits in the camp are among the most gold-enriched deposits of this type making the camp not only a significant copper and zinc producer but also a 19 million ounce plus gold producer. The area offers unparalleled infrastructure with roads, water, milling, power, experienced personnel and smelting facilities.

In the last 20 years, there has been limited exploration in the eastern and western portions of the Noranda camp, much shallower drilling as compared to other mature camps, and very limited revitalization of old mines. This scale of opportunity compares favorably to the Kirkland Lake camp, Red Lake camp and the Bousquet Cadillac camp 10-15 years ago.

Falco Pacific's project portfolio contains a mixture of advanced brownfield opportunities, 14 former producing mines, and a number of other strategic claims on strike of current and former producers.

We have categorized our projects into Brownfield, Former Producers, and Exploration.
  • Brownfield Projects represent targets that are proximal to previous producers of which some contain an historic resource. These are near term targets for Falco Pacific.
  • Former Producers are made up of the 14 historic mines, some of which contain an historic resource. We are currently evaluating these to determine both the economic and geological opportunity given a revitalization strategy.
  • Exploration Projects are targeted because of either previous discovery holes and/or they are positioned in known favourable geological environments.
