The Horne 5 project area of Falco Resources in Rouyn-Noranda includes the former Horne and Quémont mines as well as the Horne 5 deposit. Located 600 metres north of Horne, the Quémont mine produced approximately 2 million ounces of gold and 400 million pounds of copper from 1949 to 1971.
The Horne 5 deposit is located immediately below the former Horne mine, which was operated by Noranda from 1926 to 1976.
They produced approximately 2.5 billion pounds of copper and 11.6 million ounces of gold. On October 16, 2017, Falco announced the positive results of a NI 43-101 compliant feasibility study on Falco’s Horne 5 gold project located in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada.
